Tailoring
begins with the wearer

Every garment at Platino is chosen around each man's build, profession, occasions and presence. No chasing trends. No forcing a cut. Only finding what suits you best.

01 · Our tailoring philosophy

True to the body. Right in proportion. Suited to the wearer.

A suit that meets the Platino standard isn't the tightest, the shortest or the most on-trend. It is a suit that balances four things: Fit – Proportion – Comfort – Character.

  1. 01

    Fitting

Fit should be seen, not felt. Others see the balance; the wearer feels only ease.

  2. 02

    Personalization

Every recommendation is based on the purpose, profession, occasions and style of the wearer himself.

  3. 03

    Proportion

The goal isn't the closest fit, but the proportion that best suits your body.

  4. 04

    Cloth

Fabric is chosen by purpose, frequency of wear, climate, style and budget.

  5. 05

    Configuration

Lapels, buttons, vents and waistband are chosen to support proportion, not to follow extreme trends.

02 · Our tailoring process

Consultation → Measuring → Fitting → Delivery

Four steps that turn an understanding of the wearer into a garment that fits, suits him and carries his personal signature.

Step 01

Consultation

Understanding the wearer.

Your consultant listens before suggesting anything:

  • Purpose and the date you need it
  • Profession and work environment
  • Build, style and favorite colors
  • Current wardrobe and budget

Platino proposes at most 3 options, with one primary recommendation and the reasons it suits you.

Step 02

Measuring

Understanding the body.

We don't just record shoulders, chest, waist, jacket length, sleeves, thigh and trouser length. Platino also observes:

  • Shoulder balance and standing posture
  • Back curvature and body distribution
  • Torso-to-leg proportion
  • Movement habits

Together we define your Fit Preference: Slim · Modern · Classic · Sartorial Relaxed.

Step 03

Fitting

Perfecting proportion.

The garment is checked directly on your body, from the main structure down to the details. You will be asked to:

  • Stand naturally and walk
  • Sit down and stand up
  • Shake hands and reach forward

It passes only when the proportions look right and it feels comfortable in motion.

Step 04

Delivery

Completing your presence.

The garment receives a final inspection, and you try it on again with your shirt, shoes and accessories. Your consultant guides you on:

  • How to pair shirts, shoes, ties and pocket squares
  • The occasions it can be worn for
  • How to care for the garment

Fabric codes, measurements and configuration are kept on file for future orders.

03 · Fitting Standard

Fit should be seen, not felt.

Platino checks in a fixed order. We never fine-tune small details while the main structure is off: if the shoulders aren't right, the sleeves wait.

  1. 01BalanceFront and back hang evenly; the jacket skirt falls naturally.
  2. 02ShoulderThe shoulder line ends exactly at your natural shoulder point.
  3. 03CollarThe jacket collar sits close to the shirt collar, with no gap at the neck.
  4. 04ChestA clean chest, lapels lying flat, no pulling around the button.
  5. 05WaistA defined waist without constriction: defined but natural.
  6. 06SleeveSleeves hang cleanly, showing 0.8 – 1.5 cm of shirt cuff.
  7. 07TrouserA stable waistband, a straight crease, and a Slight Break as the Platino standard.
  8. 08MovementHolds its shape as you sit, walk and reach.

We don't deliver a garment simply because the date has arrived if the fitting hasn't met our standard.
